This site is dedicated to Burwood Park & Pool, Norwood, Ohio

Burwood Pool was about to be closed this summer. A group of parents and children got together, raised awareness, got over 800 signatures, presented them to the Recreation Commission, made speeches, and got the Recreation Commission to reverse their decision and keep the pool open.

In order to keep the pool open in the future, Burwood Pool attendance needs to increase. The volunteer parents and children are doing whatever they can to raise awareness of the pool, beautify it, clean it up, and make it a great place to swim. We need your help!

Burwood Pool's last day could not have been more perfect! Almost everyone was there. The Mayor and his lovely wife Maryann, Councilmen Mike Gabbard, Vic Schneider and Steve Thornbury and his lovely wife Patty, Donna Laake, Bill Graff and his lovely wife, Randy Huber of Huber lumber Co., and Jenny Wallace and her administrative assistant, Kathy. The Burwood Parents serving the food worked like a well-oiled machine. They served over 250 people! And best of all, we had enough food to feed that many people! Our young people were so well behaved it was scary. They did their little award presentations like pro's and made everyone smile. Everyone congratulated us on a job well done this summer, and, of course, we thanked everyone for all their support throughout the season.

Thank You's!

THANK YOU to Larry of Home Depot for the FREE RENTAL of the  tiller on Saturday for the Flower Planting!. The tiller sure made all that digging a lot easier! Please be sure to see Larry at Home Depot the next time you need to rent any equipment.

THANK YOU to Bud Huber, owner of Huber Lumber for donating the use of the flatbed truck for our float in the Norwood Day Parade. The kids had a ball decorating the float and riding on it. His son Randy did a great job of driving the truck and making sure the kids were all safe.

THANK YOU to Councilman Vic Schneider for getting us a new refrigerator for the rec. room. Now we can safely keep food for the kids without worrying about it spoiling.
